I specialize in creating scalable, high-availability, website networks.
I try to look at Internet marketing and website design with an open mind. Technology is moving fast which can be good and bad. On one end, a small business can now spend very little money to advertise and generate thousands of fanatic customers. On the reverse end, not every business needs an iPhone app, or a Facebook Fan page, yet many salesmen will tell you that you do.
This blog is broken up into 3 sections.
Website Strategies
Many companies don’t take their business website seriously. The mentality of “build it and they will come” is a myth. There are thousands of competing businesses with websites that have either been around longer or have more resources invested. Managing a business website takes a lot of work, there is no way around this.
Businesses get bombarded with salesmen touting products that syndicate this and Tweet that.
Before you do anything online, you must have a plan. After you do anything online you need another plan. It’s all about setting a goal, monitoring the process, tweaking the process and testing the process.
What’s worse?
- Creating a plan that fails, but you tracked the progress and you can determine the reason why it failed. Maybe you will see small variations that will make the difference?
- Blindly selling a product or service that is wildly successful and profitable, but not understanding why. Sure, you have made some good money, but can you repeat the process on another product?
The one thing that is constant on the Internet. People can study your success, imitate it and provide cheaper, better services and products. You might have the hottest selling product for 3 months, but you’ll quickly have imitators that want a piece of your pie.
I’m one of those people that searches the internet for success stories. I learn from businesses that both succeed and fail.
In my website strategies section I focus on:
- Monitoring your website. You must understand where people come from, what they do and why they leave your website.
- Creating stages of success for your business. It’s not all going to happen overnight. Thinking about the big picture and millions of visitors buying your stuff can be scary. Take weekly and monthly snapshots of your business to make sure it’s performing at a high level.
- Technologies that can help you manage your website.
Website Development
My bread and butter. I can’t escape it, I’ve tried many times, but the idea of programming computers to perform certain functions is just about the coolest thing I can think of… Right behind Football player, Racecar driver, or a “Real Housewive”.
I’m a system admin, PHP programmer, and Internet marketer. I can set up the web servers, program the websites and create website traffic. I try to help out other programmers as much as possible with my blog. I think that I have a written a blog post for just about everything that is needed to create a server, launch a website and then operate that website efficiently.
Give and you will receive is my mantra, and I think it keeps my business Karma in good standing.
My Blog
This blog is personal and business. My blog not only allows me to learn and connect with other like minded people. It also allows me to vent and release. Whether that is a good idea is a question for another day, because it’s too late, I’ve already made a couple enemies with this blog and my opinion.
I use the Internet for everything. I even found my wife on the Internet
About Me
Thirty something (closer to 40 now), family man, addicted to the internet… I used to have many hobbies, most of which were outside in the sun, but with Web 2.0 and the search for the perfect app, I find myself in my home office most of the time. Now with a new baby, I find myself in the home office very late at night just to get work done.

I believe in creating goals with visualization. I try to communicate those goals and ideas to the readers of this blog, in hopes to make connections with other people. I’ve Surrounded myself with successful people and I learn from them everyday. Understanding that everyone sees the world differently and has different goals is the key to leading people and making progress with your ideas.
In summary, this blog was made to help people and create discussions.
